Terms of service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Macro Mentor (“the app,” “we”) for using the app. By signing in, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Not medical advice
The app gives general nutrition and fitness guidance, generated with the help of AI, based on what you tell it. It is not medical advice, and it doesn't replace a doctor, registered dietitian, or other healthcare professional. It can't diagnose or treat any condition.
- Talk to your doctor before changing how you eat if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition (such as diabetes, kidney disease, or heart disease), take medication, or have a history of disordered eating.
- Stop and get medical help if you feel dizzy, faint, unusually weak, or unwell, or if tracking food starts to affect your mental health.
- AI estimates (calories, macros, portion sizes, restaurant nutrition) can be wrong. Check anything important, especially allergens; the app can't guarantee a food is safe for an allergy.
- Results vary from person to person, and we don't promise any particular outcome.
You're responsible for your own health decisions.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. We may limit who can sign up (for example, while the app is in early access), and may change or end access at any time.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate information in your profile; your targets and plans depend on it.
Fair use
Please don't:
- try to get around usage limits, break into, overload, or reverse engineer the app;
- use the app to harm yourself or others, or to break the law;
- copy, resell, or offer the app or its output as your own service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Your content
What you enter (logs, photos, messages) stays yours. You let us use it to run the app for you, as described in our privacy policy. Meal plans and other things the app creates for you are yours to use personally.
A growing app
The app is still being improved. Features may change, break, or be removed, and there may be downtime. Some accounts, such as early testers, may be given a plan for free. Nothing is charged without your agreement.
Plans, free trials, and payments
- Plans. There are two subscription plans, Casual (monthly or yearly) and Bodybuilding Prep (monthly), and a Prep Pass: one payment that gives Bodybuilding Prep for 24 weeks and doesn't renew. What each includes and its price are shown in the app before you pay.
- Free trials. A new account gets a 7-day free trial of Casual from the day it's created. Each account can also start one 7-day free trial of Bodybuilding Prep. Trials don't need a card and never turn into a paid plan on their own. When a trial ends without a plan, logging and your data keep working, and the AI features (meal plans, estimates, the coach, check-ins, and meal ideas) pause until you choose a plan.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (a month, or a year for yearly plans) at the price shown when you subscribed, and your payment method is charged on each renewal date until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in the app (Profile → Your plan → Manage or cancel your subscription), with the link in your Stripe receipt email, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription, so cancel it first.
- Changing plans. Moving up (for example, Casual to Bodybuilding Prep) takes effect right away, and you pay the difference for the rest of the billing period. Moving down takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Payments aren't refunded for part of a billing period. If you're charged by mistake, or the app isn't working for you in the first 14 days after a payment, email us and we'll make it right, including a refund where that's fair. This doesn't limit any refund rights the law gives you.
- Price changes. If a price changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and it takes effect at your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
No warranty and limits on liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome from following the app's guidance, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if you've only used free features, that's $0). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending things
You can stop using the app anytime and delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or end the app or your access, and will try to give notice when we can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we'll update the date above and let you know before it takes effect. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
